Sourced from old Grenache bush vines dating back to 1946, in a deep sandy dune called ‘The Beach’ at the northern edge of South Australia’s McLaren Vale, this stunning Grenache is a complex, perfumed and elegant wine with a trademark tannin structure.
The delightful aroma of raspberries and cherries, aniseed and chamomile will draw you in on the nose, to the delicious taste of plums and dark cherries with the earthiness of aniseed, spice and roast meat.
Matured for 12 months in old French Oak.

“Juicy raspberry and cherry, aniseed, with a stony ferrous edge, dried flowers and chamomile. Medium-bodied, red fruits with a sappy and savoury edge, tannin is firm and stony, plenty of red berry flavour, though keeps itself pretty near, with supple grip on a very long and bright finish. Tannin is a highlight. Kind of jubey as at now, though its future feels assured. Excellent.”
