This deep dark cherry red comes fresh from the vines of the Barossa, the wine region with possibly the richest history. It was recently tasted in 2020.
First up on the nose is plum, cinnamon and almond, followed by aromas of vanilla custard, bourbon and white and dark chocolate and hazelnut brittle. What a fresh awakening!
The palate is medium-bodied, and features raspberry and chocolate flavours along with spice and cola. No obtrusive flavours found here but the benefits of seasoned American hogsheads.
The wine has been rested for a few years and you can experience peak drinking from 2022 – 2038.
